Local Gardening Classes!

My friend and fellow Washington County Master Gardener, Calvin Bey of Harmony Gardens, is offering classes again this year. Calvin is one of those guys who, when he speaks, you'd better listen because you will definitely learn something. Here are the details on his Spring class. I took his fall class and am STILL learning from the book and documents he gave us! Be sure to get on his mailing list so that you can be notified when he offers tours and future classes.

Calvin is also offering a subscription service:
(from Calvin) I am establishing a List of Special Gardeners, who would like
pertinent organic gardening tips on a weekly or biweekly basis. I will cover gardening
topics that I am actively engaged in myself. The information will be especially
appropriate for those who need guidance on when to do what. I will also cover topics
that you bring forth.

The documents that I send will cover many gardening topics, and will require
considerable effort, and so I feel I need to charge for the service. Your fee for getting
on this list will be $15.00 for the year. To get on the list, you will need to send this
fee to me with your name and email address. Send to Calvin Bey, 8779
W. Forest Hills Dr, Fayetteville, AR 72704.

If you are going to do it, get on this list ASAP. The first topic will deal with getting that
soil test and ordering seeds, and will come out in early January.

If you have ever desired to have someone walk you through the best methods of growing, varieties, and pest control specific to Northwest Arkansas, this is your opportunity. I have already received the first email for this service and it is PACKED with excellent, specific information that you just won't find anywhere else.
