Our Home in Winter

Since we just moved here last spring, I have been trying to document the house in each season so that we can see how it changes over time. In a few years I want to look over it flipbook-style and be able to see the progression from someone else's home, to something that truly represents us.

There's not much to see in the winter. The few perennials I have added are dormant, the leaves are gone and everything is very plain. I look forward to flipping from these photos...

Can anyone spot the Chihuaua in this photo?
...to the more vibrant look of spring. Still, I like the quiet, dark, and restful time that is winter.

How do you feel about winter? Love it or hate it?

  1. I don't necessarily hate winter, though it isn't my favorite season. It IS nice to see things sleeping dormantly and think about the spring to come, though! I think it's a great idea to document the changes at your home.

  2. I'm like you, Mary Ann. I don't love it either, but I can appreciate it. It makes spring that much more enjoyable after a cold, barren season!
